Who we are looking for:

Re:Build Manufacturing is looking for an energetic, organized, experienced automotive *Quality Engineer (QE) *to join our growing team. The QE will be supporting all aspects of Supplier Quality and performance. This position will be responsible for understanding and working closely with internal and external customers' expectations, sourcing, quality, supplier development, delivering tooling, and parts on budget and on time per our program milestones.

What you get to do:

Quality Assurance

  • Contribute to ensuring the company's quality, cost & delivery targets are achieved
  • Lead cross-functional development teams for QMS documentation
  • Create/Implement QMS documentation in support, in preparation for formal certification (i.e. IATF16949, CQI, etc.)
  • Own APQP / PPAP process
  • Act as Liaison with Design / Engineering Support Teams supporting Design for Quality
  • Attend and participate in Production and MRB meetings as requested.
  • Support internal & customer Quality teams as required.
  • Review of specification changes
  • Participate in the Problem resolution procedures.
  • Generating reports around business KPI's relating to performance of the Business management system.
  • Support MRB as needed
  • Conduct Internal Audits to QMS and customer requirements

What you bring to the Team:

  • Engineering Degree or equiv. or previous working level experience
  • IATF 16949 Experience required
  • 5+ years of Automotive Quality including site audits, continuous improvement, APQP, lean problem-solving principles and leading a team by example.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to identify process issues and drive improvements to improve operational efficiency and product quality.
  • Developed Problem Solving skills in RCA, RCCA, 8D, etc.
  • Strong working knowledge of value driven supplier KPI and scorecard development and implementation.
  • Work directly with engineering and manufacturing regarding technical GD&T, and drawing standards training and review.
  • Knowledge and experience with ERP systems and implementation
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • High level of integrity
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced start-up environment.
  • EV and/or battery experience preferred
