Position Overview

We are looking for a dynamic Repairs Center Team Leader that will drive safe and timely completion of Repair orders and continuous improvement by supervising output, quality, and processes as a shop floor leader.

Our Team Leader will manage the day to day running of our Service Repair Center Team, providing leadership, motivation, and control to ensure that we deliver on our objectives in an effective and efficient manner and in line with the strategic vision.

Responsibilities

  • Set work objectives and standards for the team, translating well defined overall objectives into clear and detailed activities for individuals. Supervise the effective performance of Repair Technicians in delivering against these.

  • Lead, co-ordinate, monitor and review workflow, and resolve day-to-day operational issues to ensure delivery meets internal and external targets and standards.

  • Lead and prioritize the workloads of the team against agreed targets and delivery dates by setting ‘SMART’ objectives identifying critical success factors and key performance indicators and monitoring these, including benchmarking appropriately.

  • Motivate and coach staff through the identification of training and development needs to equip them to deliver effective and responsive services.

  • Adapt procedures and work plans in own area and across the Service Center to improve operations, optimization, performance, and efficiency.

  • Monitor and complete SAP transactions for production work orders.

  • Drive a safe, clean, and orderly work floor by applying 5S practices and follow prescribed safety regulations.

  • Apply Continuous improvement Processes and drive implementation of Lean practices within the Service operation.

  • Identify and implement digital tools to improve the performance of the repair processes.

  • Participate on improvement project teams to assure timely and high-quality delivery of manufacturing processes required to drive successes.

  • Establish an effective cross functional network with Engineering, Test Engineering, Quality, Project Management in support of Repairs Service activities.

Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience

  • Associates Degree or equivalent experience in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent.

  • SAP experience preferred.

  • Digital literacy required including Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams) and ability to learn additional software packages as the need arises.

  • Ability to communicate responsibilities from engineering drawings, wiring schematics, and bill of materials.

  • Ability to motivate various groups of people to complete a task to schedule, tackle a problem, or implement improvements.

  • Ability to work overtime and flexible hours.

  • Knowledge and experience in IPC610, ISO 9001, 14001, &45001 standards preferred.

  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Must be able to work in team environment.

  • Flexibility to adjust and thrive in a team environment with changing requirements, schedules and priorities for multiple projects or assignments.

The pay range for this position is $76,200 – $102,800; the actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
