Responsibilities

    • Communicate directly with customers concerning technical systems information, product knowledge, and product/systems applications via phone queue and emails.
    • Manage the preparation of complete product/system quotation bid packages for made-to-order items, ensuring commercial and technical specification compliance, product pricing, scheduling needs, and vendor data requirements are addressed. Facilitate follow up to resolve major concerns and support business requirements.
    • Enact changes to document/specification templates and price quotes based on changes.
    • Support, drive and monitor key sales opportunities with reps and end-users. Communicate sales opportunities to sales personnel and channel partners. Track and monitor opportunities via Salesforce tools.
    • Partner with functional groups to facilitate completion of unique business requirements.
    • Manage requirements and tasks via Issue Tracking Database.
    • Support efforts to increase sales of combustion analyzers and refrigerant gas leak monitors products with industrial accounts, integrators and engineering houses, focusing on complex, technical, custom sales solutions, deriving creative, cost-effective product solutions for our customers, including support via end user account visits.
    • Provide customers with both technical and application information through product demonstrations and seminars. Conduct training sessions for customers, channel partners and manufacturer representatives by using tools such as web casts, and toolbox presentations.
    • Facilitate follow up to resolve major concerns and support business requirements.
    • Edit orders and assist customer service.
    • Support Factory Acceptance Testing and custom products.

Qualifications

Special knowledge, skills and abilities required:

    • Strong communication (including written and verbal technical and non-technical), interpersonal and management skills.
    • Demonstrated selling and technical skills with end users.
    • Proven experience in deriving creative, cost-effective technical product solutions for customer base.
    • Willingness to travel 10% of the time.

Preferred:

    • Familiarity with market or sales specialization (combustion gas analyzers, refrigerant gas leak monitors, and refrigerant identifiers.), industrial instrumentation or related products & applications in the industrial market.

       

Education and Experience Required:

    • Associate's degree or 2-year technical program
    • This position is available at three different career levels based upon experience, education, etc.:
    • Level II: 4 years technical support experience -- Safety Products Industry
    • Level III: 5 years technical support experience -- Safety Products Industry
    • Level IV: 6 years technical support experience -- Safety Products Industry

       

Preferred:

    • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline -- electrical/mechanical
