Scadd Inc Recovery Technician in New London, Connecticut

Orient clients to the facility and review the program rules and regulations.Complete all non-clinical/non-medical admission paperwork and documentation required by the assigned department.Screen incoming client property to check for inappropriate items being brought into the facility.Observe medication self-administration and in non-nursing facilities account for all medications on site according to assigned department procedure.Manage/coordinate any medical, behavioral, emergency, or facility problems in a quick and efficient manner, notifying the proper authority as needed.Investigate suspicious or unusual behavior to ensure the safety of clients and premises.Provide the clients with clean linens, towels, and personal supplies.Check and clean laundry and client areas using the Universal Precautions guidelines and assigned department procedures.Answer and direct incoming telephone calls as needed.[Monitor the security of the department regularly.

Openings on all 3 shifts. Hourly rate is $18/hr.; shift differential for 4pm to 12am is .50/hr., for 12am to 8am is $1.00. Full time is 40 hours, and includes weekends.

Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Certificates, Licensure, Registrations: Possession of a valid first aid certificate, and adult Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificates within six months of employment.

Possession of valid Connecticut drivers license without restrictions.

Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence, and memos. Ability to write effective and compelling correspondence to support position and/or recommendations. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to employees, vendors, partners, and stakeholders of the organization.
