RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify and develop process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency

• Formulate relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics, such as actual spend against budget (variance analysis), and critical financial metrics.

• Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting

• Deliver financial performance results to operational partners and senior leadership

• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and timely monthly close

• Advocate implementation and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures

• Enforce accountability and meeting of deliverable items

• Advanced preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits

• Develop diversified policies, procedures, and technical accounting analyses

  Requirements

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Accounting or Finance Degree

• 5 or more years of progressive, full cycle accounting experience

• Full ownership of monthly close procedures

• Great Plains accounting software knowledge, strongly preferred

• Knowledge of local tax filing requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP standards

• Proven success as a "change agent"; encourage positive change to improved policies or procedures

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written

• Strong analytical aptitude

• Occasional travel required within the regional area, approximately 2 days/month
