Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in New York, New York

Description

We are offering an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a remote basis. This role is integral to the efficient and accurate management of our financial transactions in the healthcare industry. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented and familiar with accounting software, capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment with excellent organizational skills.

Responsibilities:

• Process an average of 150 bi-weekly expense reports, ensuring their accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.

• Conduct thorough audits of expense reports to verify their authenticity, completeness, and adherence to company guidelines.

• Handle the timely processing of invoices.

• Prepare and post journal entries related to accounts payable transactions.

• Perform monthly reconciliation of credit card statements and resolve any discrepancies.

• Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to address payment inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner.

• Assist in month-end closing activities and provide support for audits as needed.

• Utilize accounting software such as Concur and Great Plains.

• Apply advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups, for data entry and record-keeping.

• Process customer credit applications and maintain accurate customer credit records in a timely manner.

• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect delinquent payments.

Requirements

• Must possess at least 1 year of experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk or in a similar role

• Proficiency in using Accounts Payable (AP) systems

• Strong data entry skills

• Experience in invoice processing

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including knowledge of Excel formulas

• Prior experience with Concur software for expense management (plus)

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) accounting software

• Experience in handling and processing expense reports

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.
