Description

Expanding New York City organization is currently seeking an Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and executing our credit and collections functions. This position is crucial to maintain our financial health and ensure the smooth running of operations in our company.

Responsibilities:

• Process and record transactions related to accounts receivable

• Maintain accurate records of customer credit applications

• Resolve customer credit inquiries in a timely and efficient manner

• Monitor customer accounts for delayed payments and take necessary action to collect on outstanding receivables

• Regularly perform account reconciliation to ensure accuracy

• Use Microsoft Excel to organize and analyze financial data

• Carry out billing procedures, ensuring customers are invoiced correctly

• Manage cash applications to keep records up to date

• Handle commercial collections by contacting customers with overdue accounts.

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accounts Receivable / Collections Specialist.

• Proven ability in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR).

• Experience in Billing, Cash Applications, and Cash Collections is essential.

• Should have a track record in Commercial Collections.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required.

• High attention to detail and accuracy in work.

• Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Must demonstrate ethical behavior and business practices.

• Must respect confidentiality of sensitive information.

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field is preferred.
