POSITION TITLE: Analyst – Data Scientist

(Strategic Data and Analytics)

DEPARTMENT: PVH Business Intelligence & Strategic Data insights

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Analyst will play a key role in supporting our business goals by assisting in data analysis and report development. The responsibilities will include cleansing and analyzing data, creating presentations, and contributing to strategic initiatives. This role involves working with various teams, documenting requirements, and communicating actionable insights.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Generate dashboards, reports, and KPIs by understanding the vision and gathering requirements

  • Maintain communication with the business on project statuses and issue resolution

  • Execute and track goals and initiatives, measure progress, metrics, KPIs, and ROI

  • Maintain and grow knowledge of macro environment and associated business impact

  • Identify white space ideas and opportunities by conducting research

  • Assist in data cleaning, analysis, and presentation of analytics projects

  • Understand business goals set by management

  • Gather and document business/technical requirements

  • Support change management strategies

  • Collaborate with the Information Technology group to work through systems issues

INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CONTACTS:

Internal: PVH executive & business leadership & direct report teams, Human Resources, IT, Logistics, Supply & Demand Leadership, CRA, Marketing

External: Consumer partners (L1 & L2)

DECISION MAKING:

  • Must have strong influencing and communication skills

  • Able to consult disparate sources of data and information to make decisions

RESOURCEFULNESS/CREATIVITY:

  • Comfortable with all levels and cultures, relationship builder

  • Uses creativity in communication to clearly articulate written and visual messages; includes creative usage of Power Point to convey messages

  • Self-starter

  • Ability to engage externally with industry groups and partners

  • Has an innate sense of curiosity and problem solving

ENVIRONMENT:

  • Ability to influence at all levels

  • Ability to work in ambiguity

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:

  • 0-3 years in data analytics

  • Experience in corporate retail is a plus but not necessary

  • Ability to read/write SQL

  • Beginner experience with statistical programming languages like Python and R

  • Experience with user-interface and front-end development

  • Familiarity with business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau)

  • Solid understanding and use of Microsoft Office applications

  • Working knowledge of statistics

  • Ability to communicate complex data in a simple, actionable way

  • Basic understanding of business financials including ROI and profitability

Education:

  • BS/BA Degree in a quantitative field (e.g. Engineering, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Information Management etc.) or equivalent experience

Skills:

  • Excellent critical thinking, time management, analytical, and communication skills

  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with a particular emphasis on the ability to make complex information both understandable and compelling

  • Ability to combine strong quantitative skills with excellent interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Motivated and willingness to learn

  • Positive, solution-oriented, strong work ethic

Pay Range:$65,000 - $75,000

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
