Role Summary
You will be part of the Defined Contribution Real Estate Team that supports and manages $4.5bn in Defined Contribution real estate AUM across a range of private or blended private/public real estate solutions. JPMorgan's extensive track record and broad experience managing private real estate within Defined Contribution portfolios and on behalf of clients has earned a leadership position in the industry. . The success of J.P. Morgan Asset Management's Defined Contribution real estate solutions is built on the intersection of three areas of expertise: $124 bn in AUM and 18+ years managing target date funds including real estate, $65 bn in AUM and a 50+ year track record investing in and managing private real estate on behalf of clients, and a 15 year track record managing dedicated Defined Contribution real estate solutions on behalf of institutional Defined Contribution clients.
Job Responsibilities
You will support the Defined Contribution Real Estate Fund Management Team in the retention and growth of existing Defined Contribution real estate AUM across the existing Defined Contribution real estate solutions and institutional offerings.
Help build, and maintain key relationships, with clients and consultants as well as global internal partners, such as Client Advisors, Consultant Advisors, Funds Management and other partners across Real Estate Americas to identify prospects and growth areas.
Support DC Real Estate Investment Specialist in identifying, developing and implementing strategic initiatives to support business growth.
Develop an understanding of the operational processes that support the blended solutions and their investment in the underlying private real estate funds and contribute to processes and deliverables that support the day-to-day management of the Defined Contribution real estate fund operations.
Develop a deep knowledge of real estate with the objective of clearly being able to communicate the benefits of including the asset class in multi-asset portfolios.
Participate in industry associations / conferences. Distinguish self from the competition and leave a strong, positive impression of J.P. Morgan Asset Management and Real Estate Americas.
Develop a deep knowledge and understanding of the competitor landscape to support the best positioning of our strategies to compete.
Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
5+ years of Defined Contribution experience
A self-starter with the confidence, patience, maturity and a strategic lens to proactively advance agenda, navigate demanding internal/external product/client situations
Ability and desire to add value and contribute to the team's efforts; present new ideas and initiatives.
An interest and 'passion' for real estate investment and retirement solutions
Good understanding of the investment management industry and a willingness to learn and develop further
Strong communication (written and oral) and marketing/sales skills, required for both internal and external client deliverables
Ability to create compelling, thoughtful and creative presentation materials
Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
- Series 3, 7 and 63 certifications (or willingness to achieve)
