A well-established and highly successful Hospitality organization is currently seeking an Assistant Controller to oversee their accounting function.

Responsibilities of this position will include:

• Overseeing monthly close activities, providing direction for the Accounting Manager and junior team members

• Supervising the completion and review of monthly consolidated results

• Collaborating with accounts payable, treasury, payroll and tax departments on month-end close requirements

• Providing accounting guidance to finance and business leadership

• Coordinating with internal and external auditors to see audits through completion

• Partnering with corporate controller to build and maintain internal controls and address any deficiencies

• Managing ad hoc duties as required

  Requirements

The ideal candidate for this position will have a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and at least 10 years of experience, in both public and private accounting. CPA highly preferred. Candidate must have strong communication skills, and high proficiency in MS Excel. This position will be filled by a hands-on leader, with the ability to navigate multiple responsibilities and challenges, while meeting required deadlines.
