Associate Buyer Temp

POSITION SUMMARY:

Omni Associate Merchandiser is responsible for the daily operations of multiple departments within the Kids division across multiple selling channels. Works closely with the Senior Buyer to tailor line plans to address seasonal style / skus needs, assortment opportunities, segmentation, pricing, fabrication etc. Will assist in the Omni buying process after line finalization and responsible managing and maintaining deadlines for multiple buying calendars product lifecycle meeting milestones.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • With support of the Sr. Buyer, develop merchandise strategies and assortments for specified category ownership with the opportunity to present strategies to leadership.

  • Ownership of multiple category business with responsibility for preparing buys and achieving revenue/margin targets and managing buy sheets.

  • Work closely with Sr. Buyer to develop conceptual direction, line plan, procure and market merchandise for the assigned department or classification.

  • Work closely with planning and allocation to develop merchandise plans, react to trends and execute effective distribution strategies.

  • Manage and controls receipt planning and flow.

  • Conduct weekly/quarterly/seasonal reporting and business analysis. Present findings/actions.

  • Drive calendar deliverables on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis to make sure all milestones are tracking on time.

  • Work with visual to plan and communicate marketing/floor set direction for his/her department(s).

  • Visit the store regularly to review merchandise, presentation, identify problems, gain feedback and initiating actions accordingly.

  • Shop market and competitive landscape to monitor fashion trends, pricing strategies, product knowledge, and presentation techniques.

  • Manage samples; keeps racks in order.

  • Build and maintains strong cross functional relationships among CK internal teams.

  • Demonstrate and communicate awareness of retail landscape; Conduct research on competitive set including pricing, style, and key messaging information.

  • · Build relationships with cross-functional partners and participate as a solution-oriented team member, contributing to a high performing team

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:

  • 3 to 5 years buying/merchandising experience.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent

Skills:

  • Systems savvy with strong computer skills; especially MS excel- must be proficient in pivot tables and excel formulas.

  • Must be high energy, detail oriented, organized and able to work in an ever-changing and fast-paced environment.

  • ability to learn quickly and work in a highly collaborative environment.

  • Be a positive, flexible, team player- Work independently as needed and have strong self-initiative, prioritization, multitask and time management skill.

  • Strong communication skills required.

  • Detail oriented, with excellent follow-through skills.

  • Must be able to communicate well with peers and upper management.

  • Establish collaborative relationships with planning, design and sourcing to understand the complete product life cycle and ensure timely delivery and availability of product.

  • Must be self-motivated and confident with decision making.

  • Must be able to work independently as well as on group projects.

Pay Range:$35.00 - $40.00

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
