Overview

The School of Professional Studies is seeking a Database Administrator to design, develop, analyze, implement, test, and support various databases. Lead, assist, and collaborate with technical staff on the introduction of new systems software or database applications. Serve as technical liaison to the community and vendors. Analyze and troubleshoot complex data problems. Create and produce databases and reports. Lead or participate in database upgrades and related business applications. Assess the accuracy and assure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of critical and sensitive data in databases and systems. Review, evaluate, and recommend changes to policies, procedures, and practices regarding databases and applications to improve system efficiency, database performance, reliability, usability, and security. Maintain current knowledge of information technology advancements.



Responsibilities

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree Computer science, information systems or related field

Required Experience:
3+ years Related experience or an equivalent combination. Must include DBA-level experience with Oracle (19c or higher), database design, programming, system analysis, and database maintenance.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and in a team-/project-oriented environment. Willingness to learn new technical skills and accommodate evolving technologies. Significant knowledge of Oracle, database systems, database design, and analysis.



Qualifications

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $109,815.00 to USD $129,815.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
