Job Description: Maintain financial health of organization through preparing, examining, and organizing financial records, identifying areas of opportunity and risk, and advising management on financial and strategic plans. Inspect all accounts receivable databases and files, including monthly, periodic and annual reconciliations to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with laws and regulations. Ensure timely generation of invoices for 4 entities, including conducting detailed reviews of invoice data prior to being sent to clients. Work with the Operations and Accounts Payable team to collect data needed for invoice generation. Collaborate with accounting team to accurately reconcile bank accounts. Perform ad hoc reconciliations and reporting. Manage billing inbox. Direct credit control function including supervision of 2 employees focused entirely on cash collection. Oversee generation and management of reporting driving cash collection, prompting the team and getting involved when appropriate contacting customers directly ensuring timely receipt of payments. Liaison with Account Management, Sales, Customer Care, Operations and other internal departments about financial and regulatory matters. Prepare, analyze, or verify annual reports, financial statements, and other records, using accepted accounting and statistical procedures to assess financial condition and facilitate financial planning. Report findings to senior managers and leaders and recommend changes in operations, financial activities, or system controls. Coach and train new employees. Position supervises 6 employees: 1 Staff Accountant, 4 A/R Specialists, and 1 Junior Accountant.Job Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or closely related field and 5 years of experience in any related occupation in corporate accounting in which the required experience was gained. Must have 5 years of experience in each of the following skills: Microsoft Dynamics; Financial analysis and modeling; Financial budgeting and forecasting; Revenue recognition and revenue projection; Waste management industry; Ability to read and understand client contracts to ensure accurate invoicing; Accounts Receivable; Accounting month end close related activities and margin review; and Financial report preparation.To apply: go to rts.com/about/careers/ and search for Job ID #RTS005.
