Role Purpose: 

The Manager, Solutions Governance SAP S4 will be part of the S/4 Program Team in the newly formed Finance Systems Transformation Office. This role will work with colleagues across the global NBCU Finance and Technology organizations, playing an active role in our finance digital transformation from design to deployment. NBCU is embarking on a legacy ERP to SAP S/4 Hana transformation, and this role will be an important part of ensuring inclusive design decisions, effective change management and substantial transformation. The role will be responsible for ensuring that our SAP implementations align with SAP S/4 best practices and industry standards and will work closely with our Process workstreams, SAP System Integrators (SI), business analysts, and project managers to identify, document and implement standardization solutions.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Evaluate SAP implementation project user stories to identify gaps between current practice and SAP best practices.

  • Assist teams to develop and implement standardization solutions to align with SAP best practices.

  • Facilitate workshops and training sessions to educate stakeholders on SAP standardization.

  • Stay up-to-date on the latest SAP best practices and industry standards.

  • Manage and update project plan in support of the Fit Gap methodology.

  • Set up and coordinate workshops between IT Finance Strategy and Business Unit teams.

  • Guide Team through appropriate Solution Design & Implementation stages incl. Global Template adoption.

  • Provide regular communications to the project team, incl. RAID and escalations. 

  • Maintain project scope and define Change Order requirements recommend corresponding, if applicable Perform Risks and Issues Management.

  • Provide Project Milestone Signoff Document with purpose and dependencies.

  • Manage open items list and project close activities.

  • Other duties and projects as assigned.  

Basic Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field and a minimum of five years work experience within Finance/Finance Operations.  

  • 4+ years of experience in complex SAP S/4 HANA ERP implementations, especially within program governance/PMO leadership.  

  • Strong understanding of SAP best practices and industry standards.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. 

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Detail-oriented and organized.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work in New York, NY.

  • This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.

Salary range: $100,000 - $130,000 (bonus eligible).
