Position Summary:


We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Associate. The Ramadi Lab for Neuroengineering and Translational Medicine is seeking a Research Associate to support development of ingestible devices with a high potential for translation. Tasks will include device design, manufacturing, and preclinical model experiments.
Position is grant supported for 1 year.

Job Responsibilities:

    • Design preclinical experiments, maintain rodent colonies including basic handling, and maintain IACUC protocols.
    • Execute multiple experiments simultaneously over time independently.
    • Record all experimental findings in a laboratory notebook, analyze and interpret experimental findings.
    • Based on results, independently sugges and test modifications to protocols.
    • Prepare figures and diagrams for presentations and publications.
    • Communicate results and collaborates with other professionals in the lab.
    • Demonstrate a significant level of intellectual input into the design of the project.
    • Present findings at lab meeting, responds to challenges, and participates in exchanges of ideas to advance the science.
    • Read and understand relevant scientific literature.
    • Contribute to the preparation of articles on resarch outcomes and progress thru publication submission.

Additional Position Specific Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree (BS) in an engineering or biomedical-related discipline.
Experience working in a laboratory setting.
Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively as a member of a research engineering team.

Self-motivated, innovative thinking and problem solving.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $44,371.60 - $45,500.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
