The Senior Associate Product Owner will be responsible for planning and executing the product portfolio strategy for our customized data visualization tool that serve our internal stakeholders. As a member of the team, you will prioritize the engineering team’s sprint backlog, participate actively in all phases of the iteration process, and are responsible for product decisions, release planning and leading designers and engineers to further scale and evolve our capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Function as member of an Agile Scrum team focused on product management and delivery of high-quality data visualization and reporting solutions. Your duties will include (not limited to):

  • Partners with Product Manager to translate roadmap features into well-defined product requirements including features, product stories and acceptance test criteria

  • Prioritizes and maintains the sprint backlog consistent with the outcomes and product roadmap and performs story elaboration with the scrum team

  • Articulates what success looks like for a product, and rallies a team to turn that vision into a reality

  • Brainstorming and negotiating effectively with various stakeholders to continuously define feature priority.

  • Contributes to the success of the product launch by designing and developing product training material; Owns and maintains the product documentation

  • Provide timely and regular status reporting to management and product collaborators

  • Drives the continuous evolution of the product post launch by managing the ongoing product releases and adjusting the backlog prioritization based changing requirements

  • Coordinates communications and facilitates resolution of risks, issues, and changes tied to the product backlog.

  • Lead/Participate in Scrum meetings and product sprints

  • Monitoring and evaluating product progress at each stage of the process

  • Manages bug/defect prioritization and scheduling

  • Partners with the senior data analyst to ensure that high quality data is ready ahead of reporting development work, to avoid blockers, rework and maximise velocity.

  • Participates in end-to-end testing with critical eye to ensure a high-quality product is delivered

  • Proactively highlights blockers and dependencies.

  • Affinity for data visualization and data storytelling

  • Highlights and drives resolution of data quality issues with the senior data analyst.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3 years of experience in Product Management with proven track record in delivering a product vision and strategy

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related experience required.

  • Experience with Agile software development methodologies and practices such as Scrum/Kanban, iterations, user stories

  • Familiarity with agile software development lifecycles, standard tools like JIRA and Confluence

  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to build relationships across various partners and influence without authority in an ambiguous environment

  • Possess a positive attitude and excel in a fast-paced environment

  • Understand how APIs work and should be able to investigate data schema’s and run analytics on how to leverage data for internal consumer needs.

  • Has an understanding of architectural component

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience in Agile product management

  • Advanced degree or post graduate qualification; Agile certification preferred

  • Strong technical understanding of a variety of software languages

  • Technical knowledge in AI/ML solutions and understands implications to product vision and strategy

  • Experience with Tableau is a plus

Qualifications

Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually bonus benefits
