The Associated PressJob title: Senior SAP Basis and Systems Governance AdministratorLocation: New York, NYDuties: Design, develop, and administer application security across the AP’s SAP (Systems Applications and Products) ecosystem. Coordinate and communicate with business teams across the globe to ensure consistent service and coverage for security support to the AP’s large global user base and internal and external auditors. Manage the maintenance of multi-landscape environments through client copies, system refreshes, and transport management. Research and implement solutions for basis functionality in the areas of performance monitoring, tuning, and systems configuration using SAP best practices. Plan and manage SAP systems maintenance schedule for support and enhancement packages. Manage implementation, upgrade and support of the latest SAP systems versions. Oversee the review of disaster recovery, troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Provide support to ABAP (Advanced Business Application Programming) developers, the functional team, the help desk support personnel, and other support groups to resolve system issues. Role design, configuration, testing, and deployment methodology within SAP application architecture. Maintain structural authorization configurations to support proper security to Human Resources and Payroll sensitive data. Design end-to-end SAP security for new the projects and enhancements. Work with the business and project teams to troubleshoot issues around the authorization objects and identify and implement appropriate solutions. Understand compliance requirements which may impact security and works with business and functional teams to develop security solutions. Establish, document and ensure adherence to SAP security policies and procedures. Run periodic checks to ensure that required change management processes are being followed by our internal technology team. Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual audit checks. Work closely with internal and external auditors to assist in quarterly and annual audits and work with internal audit team for SOD remediation and ruleset updates for security changes. Work with external auditors to provide evidence and support documentation for system and security changes in questions. Capture all this information during the year. Manage all updates to BSI Tax factory used for payroll tax calculations.Requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field and 5 years of experience in the position offered or related position, including 5 years of experience with: Implementing and supporting SAP suite of applications and performing SAP database administration including Architecture Design, Capacity Planning (Sizing), Installation, High-Availability & Disaster Recovery setup, Backup & Recovery Strategy, Storage systems and upgrades, and Oracle data Guard; Working with Netweaver technology and performing Architecture planning and its Integration with third party applications; Implementing, architecting, or configuring user roles, process controls, Fiori, security design and integrations with external Applications; Performing User Onboarding, Termination and Access Provisioning for other employee events; Working with Structural Authorizations in HR and Payroll SAP modules, ABAP, and Java based authorizations within SAP applications; and Defining of procedures and on-going support for internal and external system audit.Salary: $164,570 per year.
