What’s the role?
At Bloomberg Finance we are committed to providing world-class support to our business partners by providing insight on business performance, financial oversight and thought leadership. We're looking for a Senior Financial Analyst supporting the Bloomberg Sell Side business. Reporting to the Team Lead, the ideal candidate will be a self-starter able to work in a fast-paced organization and handle sensitive Company information with discretion.
We'll trust you to:
Manage the financial reporting, analysis, and planning process within the Sell Side business unit
Create and develop detailed financial models and analysis to support various strategic initiatives including market analysis and customer segmentation, product launches, and long-term financial growth plans
Assist in developing and refining pricing models for a diverse set of products and clients
Build strong partnerships with cross-functional teams to help coordinate reporting of the product, sales and business strategies to the management committee
Review and present regular financial results packages for management
Assist in the preparation of the financial forecasts/targets for the annual operating plans and updating the financial forecasts throughout the year, along with monitoring historical revenue and expense trends
Provide executive level communication (both written and oral) to business heads and product managers on the financial results, performance vs. targets, and insights on key variances on a regular basis
Participate, on an ongoing basis, in special project requests directly from the Management Committee and Senior Management
Identify opportunities to drive efficiency and propose and implement improvements to current internal processes
You’ll need to have:
4+ years’ experience in financial analysis
BA/BS in Finance or a related field
Advanced financial modeling and data visualization skills
Advanced excel, VBA including macros and desktop/process automation skills
Demonstrated experience driving finance transformation within established, fast-paced environments
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes of issues and projects
Experience carrying out complex work with autonomy and make decisions within scope of responsibilities
Team player who can work across multiple departments and levels within the company
We’d love to see:
Degree in a quantitative subject: Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics
Experience in financial services or a financial data provider industry a strong plus
Flexibility to work in an entrepreneurial and fast-moving environment
Familiarity with the Bloomberg terminal is useful, but not required
Experience with Enterprise software applications e.g., SAP
Experience with data visualization applications e.g., Tableau or Qlik

Salary Range: 105,000 - 140,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
