Job Title: SVP of Programming Reports to: President or designated Senior Manager

JOB SUMMARY: At MediaCo Holding Inc., were changing the way people think about enterprise Media and Digital Technology with our iconic and innovative radio brands HOT97 and WBLS. We are a fast-growing company with a fun atmosphere and lots of opportunity. We are currently seeking a seasoned SVP of Programming to become part of our senior leadership team. The SVP of Programming with work closely with the President and will oversee the day-to-day programming and production operations for multiple brands and formats. Provides leadership and direction to both on-air and off-air staff. Strategizes and coordinates various projects and initiatives as set forth by the executive leadership team. Collaborates with other departments to generate revenue opportunities, expand market share, listenership and bolster ratings.

KEY FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING: Manages all radio human capital in programming and production departments. Responsible for overall success of the stations ratings, with full accountability for cost control, talent, content and FCC compliance. Oversee program plans and tracking of progress and changes. Responsible for carrying out executive objectives and strategic plan. Key contributor in development of annual budgets to include forecasting. Extensive knowledge of FCC broadcast rules and regulations, knowledge of federal, state and local contesting rules and regulations. Knowledge and broadcast acumen, with firm understanding of the latest trends and evaluating radio talent. Excellent team leadership and delegation skills. High degree of planning and organizing skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Identifies and participates in recruiting top media talent. Establishes and maintains professional relationships with artists representation team and other industry contacts. Evaluate programming available from distributors, syndications, and independent producers for broadcast. Develops internal personnel, identifies training opportunities and responsible for building cohesive team with collaborative effort from department heads. Oversees the quality of all on-air production. Other job-related duties as required.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Prefer bachelors degree in business administration, advertising, communications, or equivalent experience in a related field. 10+ years in related media field. 5+ years in upper management capacity required. Familiarity with internet radio and music streaming. Comfortable in a fast-paced and changing environment. Strong project management skills. An excellent cross-team collaborator. Outstanding organization, communication, and analytical skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office, to include WORD, Excel, and PowerPoint.
