BDO USA, P.C. seeks Tax Manager, Private Client Services in New York, NY. Job Duties: Provide tax compliance and consulting services to our high net worth clients. Review basic to complex individual and fiduciary income tax returns as well as other tax returns. Identify and perform research and report and document the analysis and findings. Interact directly with clients and their advisors. Responsible for billing and cash collection activities, recruiting, attendance and participation in CPE activities and training. Manage client engagements. Supervise and review work of team members. Identify tax planning and consulting opportunities. Reviews individual, trust, estate, S-Corp, foundation, partnership, and gift tax returns and provides written and verbal feedback to staff and interns. Participates in business development and networking activities. Manage and monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) as established by the business line. Involve firm specialists and other business lines to increase cross service opportunities. Supervise associates and senior associates.Job Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Accounting, Taxation, Finance or related plus one (1) year of experience in the job offered, as a Senior Accountant, Tax Senior or related. Must have experience in each of the following: Taxation related to personal income, estate and gift taxation and wealth retention strategies; Partnership and corporate taxation; Experience with Gosystems, GoFileRoom and BNA Tax Planner; Experience with tax research tools: BNA Portfolio, CCH IntelliConnect, Checkpoint and Lexis Nexis; Experience with Microsoft office suite, including Windows, Word, Excel and Powerpoint; and, Public accounting and private client services experience.Must have CPA certification; OR Internal Revenue Service Enrolled Agent (“EA”) license; OR sufficient educational/experience requirements (as determined by state Board of Accountancy for CPA or by the Internal Revenue Service for EA) to receive CPA or EA within 24 months of hire or promotion; OR be a member of a US state bar.Send resume to BDO HR at BDOJobApplications@BDO.com.
