Adobe Inc. User Experience Designer 2 (multiple openings)   in New York, New York

Collaborate with different product design teams to develop tools and experiences for Adobe. Duties include: work closely with the product management, engineering, and design research teams to understand the needs and workflows of education users to inform software product design solutions; identify and develop solutions that transform the existing products and, in some cases, invent new international-first products; build sketches, wireframes, high-fidelity mockups, interactive prototypes, animations and video files, and written specs to communicate design concepts to team members; engage with users and customers to validate design solutions and conduct quick rounds of usability testing, incorporating results into design process; and responsible for user experience metrics, building and delivering consumer, and enterprise products. May allow for partial telecommuting. Employer will accept a Master’s degree in Interaction Design, Industrial Design, Graphic Design or a related field and 18 months of experience in the job offered or in a User Experience Designer-related occupation. Position requires 18 months of experience in the following: Lean design methodologies to produce and test low and high fidelity UX application designs; Design research using multiple methodologies on industry technology trends and conducting real user interviews; Enterprise partnership and agile software development methodology; Mastery of visual design production using Adobe XD, Illustrator, and Photoshop; Delivery of highly-sophisticated visual products as demonstrated by a digital portfolio of launched (or “published”) customer-facing materials; Sophisticated motion design concept and production, using Adobe After Effects or equivalent; Serving users within the education community from the constraints of enterprise software development; Develop and present proof-of-concept pitches to a global audience of stakeholders; Synthesize horizontal, end-to-end customer journeys, segmented by use case, across multiple disparate departments and disciplines; Contribute to and maintain a design system and/or component library; Working knowledge of the current EdTech landscape and marketplace, including relevant U.S. and international laws and regulations; Gathering, parsing, and synthesizing software product requirements from multiple (sometimes conflicting) sources; Estimating production costs associated with projecting expected design hours and dependencies relevant to a given project on a case-by-case basis; and Independently managing multiple simultaneously-ongoing workstreams with a variety of different stakeholders, partners, and disciplinary teams.  Contact:   Email resume to: usmailresume@adobe.com.
