Description

Position Summary: The Liquid Waste Acceptance (“LWA”) Coordinator will coordinate with both the Process Control and Liquid Waste Acceptance Departments to expand and grow market segments with haulers, brokers, municipal and industrial customers of the Liquid Waste Acceptance (LWA) program. The LWA Coordinator will assist in reviewing customer applications and sample results, maintain a database of all information pertaining to LWA customers, and build a strong and dependable working relationship with customers, the Process Control Department and LWA office and field personnel. The Coordinator will also perform a full range of technical assignments, ensuring adherence to all applicable Federal and State regulations.

Minimum Requirements

Education: A High School Diploma or Equivalency Certificate is required. A Bachelor of Science Degree is preferred.

Experience: Minimum of four (4) years of experience in wastewater treatment and data compilation is required.

License and/or Certification(s): A valid New Jersey Driver's License is required.

Requirements: Must be able to prepare concise and accurate reports, including conclusions and recommendations. Must understand the laws, rules and regulations pertaining to the treatment and disposal of wastewater and biosolids and be knowledgeable of the principles and methods used in the treatment and disposal of industrial and municipal wastewaters and biosolids. Must have knowledge of both the various governmental regulations dealing with all aspects of industrial and municipal wastewaters, biosolids treatments, hauling and disposal, as well as the occupational hazards and the safety precautions that must be exercised in the industrial and municipal treatment of wastewater and biosolids. Must be self-motivated, goal oriented, and skilled in deductive reasoning and idea generation. Must have excellent computer skills and be adept in the use of various office database, spreadsheet, and word processing programs. Must be able to read, write, communicate, and understand English sufficiently to perform the functions of this position. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, along with excellent presentation and people skills. Must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Physical Demands: To perform the essential functions of this position the employee must be able to: sit, stand, walk, stoop, climb, kneel, lift up to 25lbs., carry, reach, push, pull, and use a keyboard. In addition, manual dexterity, visual acuity, hearing and speaking are required, as is the minor use of tools.

Working Conditions: Workers are employed in conditions associated with a wastewater treatment plant and sewer collection system and will be required to work indoors and outdoors.
