As a Project Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in providing project management leadership for various projects and events, as well as designing, implementing, and monitoring select business processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Proficient communication, organization, problem-solving, and adaptability skills are key. This role reports to the Director of Administration & Grants Management.
The current EWA for this position is Hybrid and requires your on-site presence on a reoccurring basis as determined by your business. Your manager will provide additional details relative to the specific number of days you are expected to be on-site.
What you can expect:
Project & Event Management
Establish and formalize project scope and objectives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and implement industry best practices, techniques, and standards throughout project execution.
Create and manage project schedules and work plans, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and monitor and evaluate project performance to identify areas for improvement.
Develop processes and systems to consistently track and provide project updates to stakeholders and delegate responsibilities clearly, communicating effectively to drive results.
Forecast and manage resources efficiently to meet objectives.
Prepare budgets based on scope of work and resource requirements, and manage vendors/suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating deliverables.
Business Process Management
Design and manage select business processes and workflows to streamline operations and align with organizational goals.
Implement process improvements and best practices unit-wide to drive adoption and success.
Deliver training and support to employees on new processes, tools, and systems.
Create maps and flowcharts to document processes and identify opportunities for optimization.
What youll need:
5 years of project management and related experience.
Excellent project management skills, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and delivering timely results.
Proficient in project management software tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Ability to engage in critical thinking, creative problem solving, effective time management and be resourceful.
Clear and effective interpersonal and communication skills, adept at leading teams and driving progress
Strong analytical skills for process analysis and identifying improvement opportunities.
Itd be a plus if you had:
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.
