Job Summary

TheMaintenance Technicianperforms repairs and improvements on occupied and vacant homes and maintains buildings, grounds, and equipment for a community in Norfolk, Nebraska.

Compensation

  • $35,000 - $40,000 per year

Job Responsibilities

  • Provides support for multiple properties in the Norfolk, NE area
  • Applies knowledge of general maintenance protocol
  • Ensures that maintenance tickets are completed in a timely manner
  • Provides lawn care, including: mowing, edging, spraying for weeds
  • Repairs and rehabilitates mobile homes
  • Repairs plumbing, including both in-home and outside water and sewer connections/lines
  • Performs light electrical work
  • Paints
  • Helps with general park cleanup
  • Addresses after hours emergency calls and respond accordingly
  • Devote all working time, attention, knowledge, and skills to employer's business interests in good faith, with best efforts, and to employer's reasonable satisfaction
  • Perform other duties customarily performed by other persons in similar positions, as well as other duties assigned from time to time by the employer
  • Understands that management reserves the right to revise the responsibilities of this position as necessary

Physical Requirements

  • Has driver's license, vehicle, and vehicle insurance
  • Bilingual English/Spanish candidates a plus
  • Maintains regular and predictable attendance as agreed upon by management
  • Able to travel to and work at multiple sites in the greater local area
  • Must be able to work 5 days per week M-F and on-call as needed
  • Capable of working up to 8+ hours a day / 40 hours per week, flexing with occasionally longer days when needed to address emergencies
  • Capable of climbing, kneeling, crouching, bending, crawling, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50+ pounds or more without assistance
  • Capable of operating machinery, such as mower, weed eater, other lawn care machinery, backhoe and similarly sized machines, other equipment needed to repair and refurbish mobile homes
  • Additional physical demands include but are not limited to: being outside/walking across communities in various weather conditions, on foot for an extended period of time, walking up and down stairs, and climbing ladders
