T. Parker Host FP&A and Business Development Analyst in Norfolk, Virginia

Position Summary: This role will support the finance, business development & commercial teams in executing HOST’s growth initiatives. Daily activities will include research, analysis, financial and business modeling, due diligence, documentation and communication of information related to FP&A and business development opportunities.

The role will be based at either HOST's headquarters in Avondale, LA or in Norfolk, VA.

FP&A Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Analyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, expenses and capital expenditures.

  • Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance

  • Manage the continued development of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, Operating Plan and Modeling Tools

  • Ad-Hoc reporting and analysis

  • Improve performance by evaluating processes to drive efficiencies

  • Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic initiatives

  • Prepare PowerPoint presentations for various audiences

  • Analyze complex financial information and reports in order to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management

  • Support leadership with in-depth analysis

Business Development Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Support for diligence and evaluation of business development opportunities

  • Model operating and financial results of new business ventures under consideration

  • Design and build various standard model templates and database distributed market data for use by all members of the business development and sales teams

  • Prepare presentation material to be given to internal and external project stakeholders

  • Use NetSuite to follow deal process and manage task flow

  • Complete ad-hoc projects as required

  • Other duties as assigned

Education, Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, accounting, economics, or other related course of study

  • Prefer minimum one year experience in finance and/or accounting

  • Working knowledge of financial analysis best practices

  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

  • Moderate to advanced competency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in business math

  • Able to work under pressure, handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision

  • Driven self-starter with a passion for excellence

    Ability to roll up sleeves and work with team members across the organization
