Job Overview:

As a Host/Hostess at our restaurant, you will be responsible for welcoming guests visiting our establishment. Your exceptional customer service expertise, and friendly demeanor will contribute to a positive and enjoyable experience for our patrons. This job description outlines the primary responsibilities and qualifications required for the position.

Responsibilities:

• Reservations and Host Stand:
  • Maintains a clean and organized host stand
  • Answers phone calls and customer questions
  • Manages reservations to ensure no overbooking
  • Provides estimated wait times and monitors wait list
  • Rotates seating areas to evenly divide between servers
  • Thanks customers for patronage upon departure
• Customer Service:
  • Interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner, creating a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere.
  • Guides customers to assigned dining or bar area
  • Provides menus and server name
  • Basic menu kowledge to answer inital customer questions

• Upselling and Promotion:

  • Promote special drink offerings, happy hour deals, and promotions to enhance the guest experience.

  • Encourage guests to explore other attractions and amenities.

     

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a host/hostess in a restaurant, bar, or entertainment setting.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage and interact with guests.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the operational needs of the family entertainment center.
