Choice Hotels Senior Brand Manager, Extended Stay Brand Management (WoodSpring Suites & Everhome Suites) (Hybrid) in North Bethesda, Maryland

Choice Hotels, one of the world’s largest lodging franchisors, has an exciting new opportunity as a Senior Brand Manager on the Extended Stay brand management team, focusing on Choice’s new construction Extended Stay brands (Everhome Suites and WoodSpring Suites.) The Extended Stay segment is a strategic growth vector for Choice Hotels and this team is cross-functional with a dedicated focus on developing, leading, and executing strategies to drive growth and high performance across Choice’s four extended stay brands—Everhome Suites, MainStay Suites, Suburban Studios and WoodSpring Suites, which represent close to 450 open and operating hotels with 500+ additional hotels under development.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support work streams and priorities that drive growth and performance for the Extended Stay brands and contributes to the achievement of brand-specific goals.

  • Contributes to the development of a compelling and differentiated brand strategy, leveraging the brands' consumer, competitive and other stakeholder profiles and needs.

  • Partners with the new construction extended stay franchise development team to drive growth while ensuring brand standards are upheld.

  • Ensures that brand initiative roadmaps and implementation plans are followed; manages cross-functional teams and leads projects through completion.

  • Serves as project management lead for brand product design updates and reimaging work, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to maintain delivery timeline.

  • Keeps up on industry developments and market trends as it pertains to responsible brands.

  • Assists in the preparation and delivery of professional and effective communications to convey brand strategy, brand initiatives, and brand performance to a variety of audiences.

  • Monitors and tracks performance for the brands and their competitors on an ongoing basis and communicates these findings to the appropriate audiences.

  • Prepares reports of financial, operational, and guest satisfaction analyses to assess current performance and help identify opportunities to achieve brand goals.

  • Supports brand championing efforts and engages in select brand initiatives and launches.

  • Develops an affinity for and competency in representing the brands to internal audiences.

  • Assists in all owner communications, forums and other franchisee touchpoints.

Your Experience, Skills & Competencies

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

  • Minimum of 5 years’ professional-level experience in brand management, management consulting, project management, or a relevant field. Experience in the hotel industry, hospitality, or a franchise organization is preferred.

  • Strong business acumen with proven ability to drive for results.

  • Strong project management skills with a collaborative approach; ability to influence and negotiate in a cross-functional environment. PMP certification is a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present business cases in front of various audiences.

  • Strong analytical skills.

  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.

Your Team

This is an individual contributor role that will report to the Director, Extended Stay Brands. You will collaborate with cross functional departments on a regular basis.

Your Work Location

As our Senior Brand Manager, Extended Stay Brand Management (WoodSpring, Everhome), you will be based in our beautiful, state-of-the-art worldwide corporate headquarters in North Bethesda, MD. Less than 15 miles from Washington, DC, we’re located one block away from the North Bethesda Metro station, with service on the Red Line and the MARC Brunswick line, easy access to I-270, and plenty of free parking provided by Choice Hotels.

Right now, our associates in corporate headquarters are working in a hybrid environment, up to 4 days per week in the office and virtual from your home office the remaining days. We provide flexibility and encourage ongoing communication with your leadership to establish expectations about your unique needs.
