Job Description

Conceive, design, engineer, and implement data, and technology solutions that solve significant scientific or business problems. Investigate, identify, and implement state-of-the-art technology platforms that drive productivity and efficiency gains in own function and throughout multiple business areas.

The role is with the Data & Analytics team supporting the Procurement department. Their key objective is to create data and analytic products to bring the digital transformation within Procurement to fruition.

As a Delivery Lead - Data and Analytics, you will be required to oversee Procurement data and analytics initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment to design and implement data products that enable analytical use cases within the Procurement Analytics domain.

  • Partner closely with technical, functional and business partners to build out data products and analytics.

  • Lead data engineers who design and maintain data pipelines where data from source systems such as SAP, Sievo and Provalido are ingested, transformed and prepared into business aggregated data products.

  • Lead data visualization developers who create dashboards in PowerBI and Qlik.

  • Conceive, design, engineer, and implement technology solutions by studying information needs; conferring with users; studying systems flow, data usage, and work processes; investigating problem areas; Demonstrate the ability to resolve key project hurdles and assumptions by effectively utilizing available information and technical expertise.

  • Demonstrate high proficiency across a wide range of technologies and platforms related to software design and development, programming languages, data integration, data warehousing, data analysis and visualization tools, data storage, network connectivity, and virtualization/cloud environments.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of the pharmaceutical and healthcare business, and utilize this knowledge in the rapid advancement of agile, impactful, and cost-effective solutions

  • Highly autonomous and productive in performing activities, requiring only minimal direction from or interaction with supervisor. Keeps key stakeholders informed through effective verbal and written communication.

  • Matures and leverages relationships with affiliates, subsidiaries, vendors, and industry peers in accordance with AbbVie Values, Vendor Management Office, and Purchasing to further the mission, vision and goals of the organization.

  • Experience guiding a global team of engineers to perform data profiling, data cleansing, and data transformation tasks.

  • Understand and adhere to corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required. Master’s degree or PhD preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience in an Analytics role, or equivalent, required. Minimum of 6 years with Master’s degree. Minimum 2 years with PhD.

  • Proficient in SQL, Python, ETL tools (e.g. Informatica), data modeling, and Dataiku.

  • Expertise in creating Data Products on modern cloud-based data warehouse solutions like AWS Redshift, including data modeling, schema design, and performance optimization.

  • Proficient in as PowerBI, PowerQuery, and Power Automate.

  • Experienced in SDLC processes and Agile delivery, using Jira to manage product delivery in iterative sprints.

  • Ability to gain buy-in from stakeholders on design options that consider technical feasibility and maximizes business value.

  • The position also requires creative problem-solving skills under pressure and a proven track record in project delivery involving business, functional and technical teams.

  • This role follows a hybrid schedule requiring 3 days in-office per week

  • The compensation range described below is the range of possible base pay compensation that the Company believes in good faith it will pay for this role at the time of this posting based on the job grade for this position. Individual compensation paid within this range will depend on many factors including geographic location, and we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.​

Salary: $103,500 - $197,000
