To succeed in this role, you will need to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close. If you want to participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes, this role might be right for you. Your responsibilities in this role

  • Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

  • Prepare complex journal entries and account reconciliations including but not limited to cash, prepaid expenses and payroll

  • Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

  • Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

  • Compose analyses for income statements and monthly balance sheets for management reporting

  • Impromptu reporting and special projects, when requested

  • Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

  • Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner

  • Thorough experience with month end balance sheet account reconciliations

  • Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

  • Take part in various department-wide initiatives

  • Regularly maintain and reconcile journal entries

  • Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation

Requirements - Experience with ERP systems

  • Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases

  • Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills

  • Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills

  • Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills

  • BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

  • Earlier work involving Manufacturing Environment

  • Experience with Manufacturing Setting

  • Command of Asset Inventory

  • Comprehension of Manufacturing Principles

  • Enterprise resource planning experience

  • Experience with enterprise resource planning

  • Adeptness in ERP Solutions

  • Good understanding of Manufacturing Industry

  • General familiarity with month end closings

  • Solid understanding of Annual Inventory

  • Manufacturing Operation experience highly valued

  • Practical knowledge of Month-end Journal Entries

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Month-end Close Activities

  • Hands-on experience with Manufacturing Process

  • Month-end Reports experience highly preferred

  • Previous experience working with Manufacturing Methods

  • Background working with manufacturing

  • Annual Physical Inventory experience

  • Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement

  • 2+ years of recent and relevant accounting experience

  • Ability to work within spreadsheets and databases
