Edwards Lifesciences Manager, Professional Education - EU in Nyon, Switzerland

Develop, implement and manage Professional Education programs at European country level

How you'll make an impact:

  • Oversee all components related to the implementation process, set-up and definition, execution, and assessment of surgical educational events at country level in Europe

  • Under the supervision of the Professional Education, Medical Affairs Director EU and together with other key stakeholders from Medical Affairs, Marketing/Strategy, Public Affairs and sales, the project manager will define and implement the processes for all EU country based surgical educational activities and ensure proper communication across the organization

  • Lead recurrent meetings with sales directors, business unit directors and other stakeholders to assess needs at country level and build tactical plan accordingly

  • Define educational objectives and target audiences and set up events accordingly, both stand-alone Edwards Lifesciences events and sponsored symposia at third-party congresses

  • Identify and contact speakers and KOLs, build agenda, ensure briefing and storyline flow

  • Collect and review presentations, ensure approval process (VAULT)

  • Oversee contract management via HQ or local teams

  • Oversee logistics managed by local teams in accordance with event requirements and liaise with legal and compliance departments

  • Drive communication plan

  • Define and implement follow-up tools to monitor attendees satisfaction and impact on surgical practices and scientific knowledge, ensure appropriate reporting

  • Manage speakers and KOL management in collaboration with country-level organizations

  • Manage external vendors: logistics, Audio-Visual, providers...

  • Revise and streamline the country-level educational events organization process:

  • Establish harmonized and lean sets of processes to efficiently mobilize resources and budget in setting up local events

  • Ensure harmonized and consistent dissemination of key data and scientific updates across Europe

  • Develop tools and KPIs to continuously improve project management

  • Ensure that the company remains compliant with MedTech Europe code of ethical business practice and full adhesion to legal requirements in all circumstances, especially while implementing educational events and interacting with HCPs

  • Participate in meetings, seminars, congresses, and training sessions to acquire the latest clinical information and ensure medical intelligence at country level

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with 5 years work experience in healthcare industry (MedTech Pharma or consulting) in Medical Affairs, Business Development, MSL or marketing

  • Master's Degree or equivalent with 3 years work experience in healthcare industry (MedTech Pharma or consulting) in Medical Affairs, Business Development, MSL or marketing

  • Other profiles with relevant work experience may be considered

  • Track record in project management is compulsory, project management certification is an asset

  • Excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills to interact with leaders, speakers and scientific societies

  • Strong negotiation skills and comfortable to work in matrix organization, customer-oriented mindset

  • Based at Europe headquarters in Nyon

  • At least fluent in two European languages, including English, a 3rd language would be an asset

  • Full time job with up to 50% travel across Europe including during week-ends occasionally

  • Good knowledge of healthcare industry (Pharma, Biotech, Medtech) and associated rules and processes

  • Ability to interact with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment

  • Good understanding of event management: speaker management, synopsis preparation, attendee/invitation strategies, program development to support educational objectives, content development, risk assessment and management...
