Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:45am – 5:00pm and Friday 7:45am – 11:45am

As a Laboratory Manager, there is great opportunity and variety in activities day to day, including:
Leading a team of Laboratory Analysts and a QC Coordinator to ensure workload efficiently/effectively completed
Ensure all work output is in line with good laboratory practices
Oversee Qualification activities including Equipment, Process Cleaning and Testing
Supporting the QC Testing and release of Raw Materials and Manufactured Products
Continuous improvement initiatives related to laboratory systems, procedures and testing methods, in line with change control procedures
Involvement with NC’s and CAPA’s
Involvement in root cause investigations across site and the laboratory
Support Risk Management Activities on site
Liaising with personnel at all levels of the business to discuss laboratory/QA matters, in a clear and concise manner, in the form of presentations and reports.

What you’ll need
Demonstrable experience in a supervisory or team leadership role
Previous experience working in similar laboratory-based roles
Knowledge of computerised Quality Management Systems (QMS)
Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing and Laboratory Practices (GMP & GLP)
Academic background in a chemical science or pharmaceutical field beneficial
Technical competence to effectively troubleshoot HPLC, GC, UV, FTIR systems
Specific work history with medical devices would be beneficial
Knowledge of Data Integrity requirements
