Hub International Accounting Service Specialist in Omaha, Nebraska

The Accounting Service Specialist will be responsible for invoicing new policies, renewals, endorsements, and audits. This role includes reviewing aged receivables, following up on past-due invoices, resolving accounting discrepancies, and managing return premiums through the Good Credit Report. Additionally, the Accounting Service Specialist will issue payment history, AR reports, and statements upon request from insured clients.

Your job responsibilities as an Office Coordinator:

  • Meet with and maintain effective working relationships with clients and company representatives to support business retention

  • Effectively and independently handle invoicing for new policies, renewals, endorsements, and audits

  • Track and send installment invoices

  • Review and track the aged receivables report for the team, and follow up on past due invoices

  • Resolve accounting discrepancy activities for all accounts

  • Track and issue return premiums through the Good Credit Report for clients requesting return check

  • Issue payment history/account receivable reports, or statements upon insured clients’ requests

  • Other duties assigned as they relate to Agency billing transactions, corrections, and reports

  • Maintain the electronic account file and fully incorporate the capabilities of the agency management system into daily workflow

  • Prioritize workload to consistently meet objectives and request assistance from management when necessary

  • Develop technical insurance knowledge of agency employees through formal and informal education and training

  • Incorporate the capabilities of the agency management system into daily workflow following agency procedures

  • Follow policies and procedures as outlined in the company and departmental policy manuals

  • Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred

  • One to two years of insurance or accounting experience preferred

  • An equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of minimum qualifications

  • Claims Adjuster or Property Casualty Agent’s license or ability to obtain

  • Valid Driver's License

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • The preferred candidate is a team player with a great attitude, self-motivation and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, multi-tasking, and organizational skills required

  • Must be thorough, detail-oriented and is responsible for working with confidential information

  • Ability to accommodate immediate requests, perform under short deadlines and coordinate multiple jobs

  • Ability to function independently with minimal supervision
