Job Title: Carpenter

Job Description

Utilizing shop drawings from our internal engineering team, our carpenters create an array of complex precast panels. In this position, you will find yourself building a wide variety of forms on a daily basis. Our carpenters are a vital key to our production process and take great pride in their work.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Utilize approved piece tickets to construct forms for specific precast concrete panels in conformance with the architectural specifications and applicable PCI requirements.

  • Meet regularly with the foreman to discuss anticipated production sequences and potential form construction problems, and to provide input on improvement of work processes and workflow.

  • Provide information to the foreman on the inventory status of all form-related material so that supplies and materials can be ordered in a timely fashion to ensure performance of scheduled work.

  • Properly maintain tools and utilize appropriate safety guards.

  • Manage carpentry workload independently.

  • Come to work regularly and on time, in accordance with company policy.

  • Function as a team player.

  • Maintain plant safety in accordance with Company Safety Manual and under the direction of Plant Safety Coordinator.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 90 Day(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Omaha, Nebraska.

Work Environment

Working in an enclosed environment. It is totally indoors but it can be cold in the winter and hot in the summers. Working with a team of 5-8 other people building the forms. Steel-toed boots, hard-hat, high-vis shirt, and long work pants are required. Monday - Friday 6 AM - 5 PM; Potential for up to 10 hours of OT a week.
