Stephens & Smith Construction Project Manager in Omaha, Nebraska

Stephens & Smith Construction is a concrete subcontractor and is currently seeking a full-time dynamic and motivated Project manager to join our team. This position will support and work with the department in a variety of tasks to include prospect and generate sales with new customers as well as established customers, coordinating projects from start to finish along with assisting in daily operations. They are responsible for upholding The Company's quality and safety standards, as well as maintaining a commitment to professional work ethics.

Skills and Core Competencies:

  • Possessing adept abilities in various computer applications, such as MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.

  • Demonstrating expertise in building and construction, with a comprehensive understanding of the field.

  • Exhibiting strong adaptability to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.

  • Displaying exceptional proficiency in verbal and written communication abilities.

  • Exhibiting meticulous attention to detail and exceptional organizational abilities.

  • Demonstrating outstanding analytical and adept problem-solving capabilities.

  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to make decisions, multi-task and meet strict deadlines

  • High degree of professionalism

    Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of concrete construction experience preferred.

  • 1-2 years of project management experience preferred.

  • Associates Degree in related field preferred.

    Physical Demands

    Definitions: Based on 8-12 hours per day

    Continually 70-100% Regularly 50-70%

    Periodically 20-50% Rarely – less than 20%

  • Rarely endures persistent standing and walking.

  • Continually required to use hands, fingers and wrist to operate office equipment and computers.

  • Rarely reach with hands and arms.

  • Continually required to speak and listen.

  • Rarely lifting supplies and materials that weigh up to 20 pounds.

  • Sensory Demands: Regularly long hours in intense concentration, and long hours on the computer entering accounting information which requires attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.

  • Continually utilize specific vision abilities required to perform the essential functions of the job, i.e., close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

  • Mental Demands: Regularly works under pressure meeting project schedules and budget guidelines.

  • Environmental Conditions: Continually works in a busy, open office and is faced with constant interruptions and must meet with others on a regular basis.
