Position Title: Toyota-Arena Catering AttendantDepartment: Food & BeverageReports To: Catering Supervisor and ManagerClassification: Part-Time

Compensation: $17.00 an hour

Position Description: The Catering Attendant is responsible for providing exceptional food & beverage event day service to Arena guests, while exhibiting a warm, friendly and professional demeanor to build relationships that will enhance the guest experience. 

Essential Functions:Assists in maintaining, organizing and cleaning all catering equipmentAttention to detail and consistency in every aspect of serviceEnsures all signage is properly displayed for each eventFulfill the service per each Event Orders (EO), as well as Catering Service StandardsMust adhere to the Company dress code which includes wearing black pants and non-slip soled closed toe shoesObtain assigned workstation at beginning of shiftSet up tables, top chairs and tables for catered events as assigned by the Catering Supervisor and Manager in a timely and efficient mannerSet all glassware silverware, dinnerware and additional set-up necessities in a timely mannerEnsure that all Catered areas have been left in a sanitary and organized mannerServe all functions in a professional, courteous, efficient mannerBreak down all Catering areas after eventAdheres to the utmost client confidentialityAbides by all Company policies in the Human Resources Policies and Procedures, the Business Code of ConductOther duties as assignedExperience/Training/Education Requirements:Must be a minimum 21 years of ageHighschool Diploma or GEDMust be flexible, have a sense of urgency, be able to respond quickly and resourcefully to internal and external issuesWorking knowledge of food production techniques, purchasing, and sanitation proceduresExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to take tasks that are not clearly defined and appropriately define problem, propose and implement solutions

Must be able to work evenings, weekends, and holidaysLicense/Certificate:Valid California Driver's LicenseFood Handlers CardTIPS CertifiedAbility to:Provide a two-way communication and nurture an ownership environment with emphasis in positive motivation and teamworkAbility to work with minimal supervisionAbility to interact with all levels of customers and staff including managementAbility to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends and holidays, in addition to normal business hoursCommunicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all staff and vendors.Be detail orientedPresent a professional appearance and demeanor at all times during the workdayExcellent organizational and planning skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong customer service orientationMust be energetic, self-disciplined with a strong sense of initiative, is detail oriented and has a passion for delivering exceptional guest service.Positive attitude and neat appearanceWork ethics encourages strong urgency and quality in a team environmentPhysical and Environmental Requirements:This position requires standing, walking, bending and lifting 25lbs. throughout the day as well as working at the computer; irregular hours will be required.While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear.This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
