Quality Health Pharmacy (QHP), a division of Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, began out of our Texas Center in 1992, and due to the needs of our more than 15 centers across the nation, we are expanding our pharmacy program. Devereux’s New Pharmacy Office, is located in Orlando, Florida , is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to join our Pharmacy team. Under the direction of the Chief Pharmacy Officer, you will be responsible for the overall local operations of our Florida Pharmacy to assure that all prescriptions and medications are dispensed appropriately to the Individuals we serve, including procuring appropriate inventory, maintaining processes and procedures in accordance with best practices and as defined by regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies and standards of pharmacy.

In this role you will:

  • Direct and coordinate staff in-services, training, competency assessments, orientation, evaluations and performance reviews;

  • Work closely with leadership to implement distribution methods that serve the Individuals’ needs and tend to pharmacy operations;

  • Maintain competency by attending at least 30 DEU hours of continuing education every two years;

  • Assist in setting up contracts, Medicaid applications and renewals;

  • Prepare and disseminate information requested by government agencies and external auditors;

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited School of Pharmacy;

  • Licensed as a Registered Pharmacist by State Board of Pharmacy in Florida;

  • Minimum of four (4) years of experience in a hospital, long-term care or retail pharmacy with two (2) years administrative experience preferred;

  • Broad knowledge of professional and commercial phases of the pharmaceutical industry, with emphasis on compounding and dispensing, drug actions, side effects, contraindications and normal dosage ranges, and Federal, State and local laws regarding the pharmacy and dispensing of drugs;

  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office products;

  • Strong customer service skills and team player with the ability to adapt to change and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment;

  • Multi-tasker with ability to meet deadlines;

  • Valid driver’s license and car is required.
