Employer is seeking a Full-TimeSoftware Developer, Journeyman, tojoin our Live, Virtual, Constructive, Modeling and Simulation (LVCMS) Lab Team at NAWCTSD in Orlando, FL.NAWCTSD is the Navy's principal center for modeling, simulation and training systems technologies.The LVCMS Lab specializes in development of computer software, including computer system architecture and system software organization for Live, Virtual, and Constructive Modeling and Simulation Trainers, specializing in Anti -submarine Warfare and Virtual At-Sea Training Systems. The Software Developer will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Essential Job Duties:

• Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
• Applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Update software or enhance existing software capabilities.
• May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements.
• Maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

Experience Requirements:

• Candidate must have approximately 3 or more years of experience with software development.
• Requires knowledge of software engineering functions including: requirements development, configuration management, quality assurance, testing, reliability and maintainability, cost estimating, risk analysis, metrics, and human factor integration.
• DoD acquisition and military training experience preferred.

Education Requirements:

• B.S. in computer engineering or computer science.

Security Requirements:

• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
