Description: Lockheed Martin is looking for experienced talent to enhance our software safety efforts across multiple programs. The candidate will be responsible for creation, delivery and review of software-related products and documentation.
The candidate would help to develop strategy and techniques to support software development as it relates to system safety. The ideal candidate must have experience in the fields of software engineering with a focus on software safety.
The ideal candidate would also have experience in working with a government customer to: define requirements, develop software safety documentation, document and implement test strategies, create software safety artifacts, and to represent Lockheed Martin at multiple safety related meetings and reviews.
The candidate would be familiar with guidelines and regulations regarding systems deployed for the military government customer.
To be successful in this position, the candidate should have excellent communications skills and be able to work with multi-disciplined teams, interface with customer counterparts and the ability to present technical solution to an audience of differing technical abilities.
Candidates filling this position will need a clearance at the level specified in “Clearance Level” or will need the ability to get a clearance if not specified.
Embedded Software Development
Ability to assess software maturity and identify gaps
Experience in conducting reviews, particularly with external customers
It is desired that the candidate has experience with or knowledge of one or more skills below:
Development and presentation of engineering level documentation
Familiarity with design patterns in C++
Familiarity with Safety critical Software process, design, and development experience
Intel host hardware
Large code base modification and development
Middleware such as Data Distribution Services (DDS), or similar inter-communication products they may have organically developed
Multi-core and multi-threaded C++ programming
System and Software Cybersecurity awareness for architecture design
Willingness and ability to travel
