The Finishing Technician will: Perform basic finishing functions including set up and operation of lapping equipment to finish parts. Read basic drawings and work orders to determine product specifications/materials requirements. Measure lapped workpieces for conformance using instruments such as indicators, calipers, and gauge blocks. Maintain a high attention to detail including but not limited to scratches, dings, and denting of metal. Report defects to supervisor. Finish workpieces according to dimensions and specifications. Maintain lapping machine weekly by cleaning, preparing, and applying coolants to equipment. Responsible for demagnetizing all parts to ensure free of unwanted magnetic effects. Lift materials or workpieces using cranes or other lifting equipment. Maintain inventory of lapping supplies. Perform minor repairs on parts using a variety of hand tools, including sanding, polishing, and deburring. Work in collaboration with other departments such as Quality Control, Assembly, Etching, and Industrial Manufacturing Technicians. Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Exemplify Kingsbury\'s safety mindset by complying with all safety requirements and acts as a safety ambassador. Attends all company required trainings and meetings. (ie safety and department meetings) Complete special projects, continuous improvement initiatives and other duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Experience: 0+ years relevant experience.
