This role in summary
Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for an Analyst, Human Resources (HR) Operations role located at our Ottawa, OH PLANT manufacturing facility. This role reports to the Manager of Human Resources Operations for US Manufacturing and Distribution Centers. The incumbent will have an indirect reporting relationship with the Ottawa, OH PLANT Business HR Leader; sharing ideas, ownership, and accountability for driving improvements and consistency of execution for key HR processes.
This role is onsite 5 days a week.
Your responsibilities will include
Lead workforce planning and management activities including staffing level planning, time keeping, job bidding, shift assignment, and employee data management
Provide guidance and coaching on local policies and practices
Support employees and people leaders with inquiries, concerns, and workplace investigations
Lead and participate in HR Operations projects by providing feedback, insights, and continuous improvement ideas
Execute and administer various responsibilities associated with turnover and absenteeism data collection and analysis
Collaborate with other on-site HR personnel for best practice sharing
Support and oversee administration and execution of annual HR processes including but not limited to annual enrollment, engagement surveys, wage planning and adjustment.
Regularly partner across the HR Operations team on HR, employee relations, and timekeeping practices and systems
Flextime on occasion to support all operation shifts
Travel up to 10% for meetings and events
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
3+ years of Human Resources or Administrative experience in employee data management, employee relations, providing guidance on local HR policies/practice, or project management.
Preferred skills and experiences
Knowledge and exposure to Lean Manufacturing Systems, such as World Class Manufacturing
Critical thinking and analytical skills regularly to identify issues and trends while developing solutions and/or recommendations to address the root cause
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Suite and/or Google Suite
1+ years of manufacturing experienceRSRWH
