This Position is for an Assistant Professor of Pharmacology or Assistant Professor of Environmental Toxicology with a public university work location in University, MS.

Position Description

The Department of BioMolecular Sciences in the School of Pharmacy at The University of Mississippi is inviting applications for a full time, 12-month, tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor of Pharmacology or Assistant Professor of Environmental Toxicology. Seeking candidates with expertise in the fields of pharmacology, biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, physiology, environmental toxicology, or a related field who possess a record of distinguished and innovative research (as evidenced by a significant publication record and the potential to secure extramural funding) and a commitment to excellence in education. Candidates who are able to take advantage of existing resources and programs in neuroscience and glycobiology are encouraged to apply.

In addition to mentoring graduate students, undergraduate students, and post-doctoral fellows within the laboratory, faculty in the department will have teaching responsibilities in the degree programs, including the Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program as well as B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. programs in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology or a related field, as well as post-doctoral experience.
