Robert Half Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager in Oxnard, California
Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accounts Receivable Supervisor/Manager to join our team in Oxnard, California. This role involves managing the accounts receivable personnel and function, as well as contributing to the overall performance of the company.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and manage the Accounts Receivable personnel and function.
• Maintain and improve the accuracy of multiple state sales tax filings using Avalara.
• Perform complex customer accounts receivable reconciliations, issue customer credit memos, and manage consignment customer billing.
• Collaborate with sales and shipping teams to address chargebacks, shortages, returns, and other claims.
• Process debit and credit memos in the system and customer payments.
• Work with sales account managers on new account requirements and review credit terms as needed.
• Set up new customer portals and investigate past due items/collections, providing recommendations for write-offs or adjustments.
• Assist with preparations for internal and external audits.
• Review and monitor accounts receivable aging.
• Undertake other projects and duties as necessary to support the business units and departmental objectives. Requirements • Proven experience in Accounts Receivable (AR) management
• Proficiency in various accounting functions
• Demonstrable experience in supervisory oversight within an accounting department
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and best practices
• Ability to direct and supervise a team to achieve the AR department's goals
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
• Proficiency in using accounting software and other relevant computer applications
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Detail oriented certification in Accounting, such as CPA, is highly desirable
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
