Guthrie Environmental Services Aide - Environmental Services - Full Time in PA, United States

Position Summary: Performs tasks to maintain cleanliness and appearance by following departmental procedures and using equipment properly. Areas involved are exam rooms, offices, bathrooms, corridors, reception area and lobby.

Education, License & Cert: High school graduate preferred.

Experience: Previous experience in housekeeping helpful. Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. On the job training is provided.

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain cleanliness, vacuum, wash walls, wash windows, dust, mop floors, damp dust furniture.

  • Pick up trash and transport to designated areas.

  • Keep equipment, carts, and janitor closets clean on a daily basis.

  • Determine the dilution ratio of germicidal cleaning solutions.

  • Shows initiative in learning and developing skills in use of all equipment in the department.

  • Assists in the orientation of new employees in the department.

  • Utilizes proper body mechanics to prevent injuries.

  • Demonstrates willingness to accept non‐routine work assignments as required.

  • Demonstrates effective time management.

  • Takes initiative in doing extra work within areas of responsibility such as spot clean walls, baseboards, etc.
