Description

We are in search of a Controller/FO for our client located in Palm City/Stuart area. This role primarily involves overseeing all financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable, grant billing and procurement. Additionally, the successful candidate will also be expected to manage the Human Resources function and staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient financial function for our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate the fiscal function and performance for the organization.

• Ensure financial performance of the organization meets all applicable guidelines.

• Oversee all aspects of financial operations and staff, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, grant billing, and procurement.

• Oversee the Human Resources function and staff.

• Manage financial controls and accounting procedures.

• Enhance and/or develop, implement, and enforce policies of the organization by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization.

• Develop a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism to meet operating needs.

• Project costs through cost/benefit analysis for the efficient and effective operation of the organization.

• Prepare monthly financial statements and reporting for presentation to the CEO and Board of Directors.

• Prepare the annual budget and modifications, as needed.

• Prepare extensive grant budgets.

• Handle all aspects of contract management including local, state, and federal grants.

• Review organization costs and prepare a strategy for cost reduction.

• Manage the preparation for annual external audit.

• Manage banking relationships and ensure adequate financing is available to meet the needs of the organization.

• Manage the investment of additional funds to maximize a return and ensure no risk of loss to the organization.

• Communicate potential risks in a timely manner to CEO and Board, as applicable.

• Assist the CEO with special projects

Requirements

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Controller

• Proficient in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience in ADP - Financial Services is needed

• Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Significant experience in managing Accounting Functions

• Must be proficient in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Prior experience in Auditing is required

• Must be adept at managing Budget Process
