Catholic Health Initiatives Director Perioperative Services in Park Rapids, Minnesota

Overview

At CHI St. Joseph's Health in Park Rapids, MN, we perform over 150 surgical cases per month. Our Surgery team is comprised of general, bariatric and orthopedic surgeons, an anesthesia team and specially trained surgical nurses, technicians and support staff. CHI St. Joseph’s Health is a Center of Excellence for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery from the Surgical Review Corporation and we are also a MBSAQIP Accredited Center through the Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery Accreditation and Quality Improvement Program. We offer robotic-assisted surgery for patients undergoing a wide variety of surgical procedures.

As our Director of Perioperative Services, you’ll oversee OR, the Ambulatory Care Unit (ACU), and sterile processing. This position acts as the conduit between the frontline caregivers and the senior leadership team. You will communicate the organization’s goals to the staff as we constantly seek to improve patient experiences, reach out to our community, and deliver quality care. At the same time, you will advocate for your team by bringing any issues, requests, or new ideas from them to leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Management of clinical practice and patient care delivery.

  • Plan for and manage human, fiscal and other resources.

  • Recruit, develop and retain personnel.

  • Compliance with regulatory and professional standards.

  • Participate in and ensure support for quality improvement.

  • Participate in and ensure support for patient and employee safety programs.

  • Participate in and ensure support for efforts to foster and strengthen the patient experience.

  • Participate in development and implementation of strategic and operational department plans.

  • Fostering interdisciplinary, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Maintain clinical practice knowledge.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of accredited professional education program

  • Clinical leadership experience required.

  • Minnesota RN license and or registration.

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association (AHA).

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).

  • Strong Communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.

Preferred:

  • Perioperatieve leadership experience preferred.

Pay Range

$42.69 - $61.91 /hour
