Compensation Range:

Anticipated Base compensation rate is in the range of $93,089.00 – $110,542.00 / Year depending on qualifications and experience.

Expectations:

This position is responsible for utilization review and utilization management for acute psychiatric patients in the Della Martin Center. The Acute Psychiatric Case Manager ensures that admission and concurrent hospitalization is medically necessary and appropriate and authorized in the acute care setting. It acts as an internal resource to Revenue Cycle on clinical issues and serves as a liaison to payors and external resources. This position requires some flexibility of hours.

EDUCATION:Masters in Social Work (MSW) from accredited college or university.

EXPERIENCE/TRAINING:Three to five years of recent relevant mental health experience is preferred. Recent experience in case management is preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:Required:Current unrestricted Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) issued by State of California within one year of hire/transfer, or current unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN)

SKILLS:Exemplary communication and problem solving skills. Type minimum of 40wpm preferred. Strong computer skills with extreme attention to detail. Ability to manage activities and multiple priorities within complex systems. Tolerance for ambiguity, uncertainty and change. Ability to function autonomously and in unstructured environments.
