DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a Custodial Worker, you are involved in the routine manual work in public institutional buildings and their surrounding grounds. Your duties will include cleaning and deep cleaning the different areas of the facilities including, resident rooms, offices, and staff areas. You will also be responsible for emptying waste and restocking supplies. You may have to move or lift heavy furniture as needed for cleaning.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week

  • Work hours vary based on shift work with rotating days and weekends and a 30-minute lunch.

  • 1st shift: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

  • 2nd shift: 3 :00 PM - 11:00 PM

  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

    Legal Requirements:

  • A conditional offer of employment will require a medical examination and a drug screening.

  • This position falls under the provisions of the Older Adult Protective Services Act.

  • Under the Act, a conditional offer of employment will require submission and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to, PA State Police and FBI clearance.
