Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Logistics Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, procurement, and material and equipment tracking, ensuring efficient and effective supply chain management.

Your Impact

• Coordinate logistics and transportation activities to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.

• Oversee procurement process, including sourcing, purchasing, and supplier management.

• Track and manage inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to streamline logistics operations.

• Prepare and analyze reports on logistics performance, identifying areas for improvement.

• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies regarding logistics and procurement.

• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and service providers.

• Develop, process and track SPOT and SAR request.

• Ensure all custom requirements are met for OCONUS shipments.

• Attend weekly production meetings as required on Japan Standard Time.

• Will travel to supply or loading/unloading locations as well as project sites possibly outside the US. Approximately 10% overnight travel required.

• Support updating project schedules based on material arrival.

• Maintain updated procurement tracking logs for all assigned projects (POE to POD).

• Coordinate with vendors during proposal development.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

• 5 - 7 years + relevant experience.

• Proven experience in logistics and procurement (5+ years preferred).

• Project Management Professional qualified.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.

• Proficiency in logistics software (SMS, ESS, GATES or GDSS) and MS Office Suite.

• Strong communications and negotiation skills.

• Hazmat handling and preparation qualified.

• Familiar with USTRANSCOM operations.

• Ability and willingness to travel to supply or loading/unloading locations as well as project sites possibly outside the US. Approximately 10% overnight travel required.

• Must pass background check
