Thursday, May 9, 2024, or until filled AT 12:00 NOON

Responsibilities:

• Perform cooking duties.
• Perform assigned tasks under the supervision of the lunchroom Manager.
• Maintain standards of safety, which include, but are not limited to, caring for and the use of knives, handling chemicals, and operating fire extinguishers.
• Maintain standards of sanitation regarding grooming, clothing, food handling, and equipment.
• Assume leadership in preparation of food within established production system, following standardized recipes, preparation and service methods, and food handling techniques to ensure acceptable standards.
• Under manager direction, perform school's menu plan, adjusts for nutritionally equivalent food substitutes, leftovers, and plans for emergencies.
• Assume leadership in preparation of food within established production system following standardized recipes, preparation and service methods and food handling techniques to insure acceptable standards
• Receive/record daily money receipts; record daily student/adult participation.
• Perform duties assigned which may include, but are not limited to, cleaning the kitchen, dining room, and receiving platform.
• Maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
• Other duties as assigned by site administrator

This position is a 6.5/9M position. Salary based on Board adopted salary schedule. Taylor County School Board adheres to a drug-free workplace policy.
