Friendship Centers of Emmet County Marketing & Development Director in Petoskey, Michigan

This is a part-time position, working 30-32 hours per week, with a flexible schedule.

Responsibilities:

Develop Marketing Strategies: Create, develop, and oversee a cohesive marketing plan to bring brand recognition and community awareness to the work of the Friendship Centers. This will include the creation and implementation of annual events, special promotions, website design, dynamic marketing materials, social networking content, and public relations.

Brand Management: Oversee the organization's brand identity, ensuring consistency in messaging, visuals, and tone across all marketing materials, events, and communications.

Content Creation: Use your experience and skills to generate compelling content such as articles, videos, and infographics to educate and inspire supporters and stakeholders about the organization's work and impact.

Public Relations: Cultivate relationships with media outlets and journalists to secure press coverage for the organization and its initiatives. This may involve drafting press releases, pitching stories, and coordinating interviews.

Fundraising: Develop and implement long- and short-range funding programs for donor engagement, prospecting, recognition, and revenue-generating events.

Analytics and Reporting: Monitor and analyze marketing performance such as website traffic, social media engagement, and email open rates to measure the effectiveness of campaigns and to inform future strategies.

Budget Management: You will develop and manage the marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to maximize impact while staying within financial constraints.

Stakeholder Communication: Communicate regularly with key stakeholders, donors, volunteers, and community partners, to keep them informed about marketing initiatives and solicit feedback.

Build Networks: You will develop strong networks within the local business and donor community, maintain up-to-date mailing lists of business and individual donors, seek out major sponsorship relationships, and have a leadership profile throughout Emmet County that will keep the message and key services provided by Friendship Centers in the forefront.

Grant Writing and Management: Research, write, and submit grant proposals to various foundations, government agencies, and other grant-making organizations. Manage the grant application process from start to finish, including reporting requirements for funded grants.

Database Management: Maintain accurate records of donors and donations using a donor management system. Ensure data integrity and use data analytics to inform fundraising strategies and decision-making.

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

Associate's degree in marketing, business administration, communications or a related field

Three years of relevant experience

Strong written and oral communication, public presentation, and interpersonal skills

Ability to interpret data and making strategic decisions

Project management skills

Creativity, positivity, and poised, outgoing nature

Leadership and motivational skill with an ability to inspire others through enthusiasm, energy, motivation, and focus

Excellent time management and organizational skills<
